Non-Emergency Program

Bilingual Services Available 

Our goal is to help victims evaluate their strengths and build upon them to further EMPOWER themselves. Advocates work closely with clients to examine and prioritize their needs. EVE's Outreach also assists clients in locating and obtaining a wide variety of resources from within the community and provide referrals as needed.

  • Advocacy: Advocates can meet with clients in public places, over the phone or at the shelter.

  • Housing: Provide resources to find a safe and affordable home.

  • Personal Protection Orders: Assistance with Personal Protection Orders to help move toward safety from the assailant.

  • Legal Help: Information and referrals to appropriate agencies. We do not provide legal advice.

  • Safety Planning: Developing and implementing a plan to stay safe when faced with violence and also how to avoid violence.


  • Back Rent/Preventing Eviction: Resources to obtain funding to prevent clients from losing their home.

  • Crime Victim Compensation: Compensation for injuries and other losses incurred because of assault.

  • Employment: Provide outside resources to assist client in finding a job that suits the individuals' skills and needs.

  • Free Local Calling: While attending programs at the shelter.

  • Access to Clothing: EVE works with St. Lawrence Resale shop and clients demonstrating a need can qualify for vouchers to shop at St Lawrence Resale shop for free.

  • Transportation: Limited assistance with transportation needs for clients utilizing EVE's programs. Please ask for more information
  • Court Support: Accompany clients to court hearings for emotional support.

  • Goal Setting: Help client organize and prioritize needs.

Services for male survivors of domestic violence are available through EVE's Non-Residential Program. 

EVE's services are empowerment-based, confidential and FREE!
