Our goal is to prevent dating and domestic violence through public awareness and community education. EVE provides free presentations, workshops, trainings and educational groups to address dating and domestic violence. Healthy Relationships and Dating Violence:A free classroom based presentation designed to empower students to examine characteristics of a healthy relationship, identify warning signs of abuse and learn about resources available to help. EVE can also provide dating violence prevention education to youth groups and non-school based organizations serving youth.
Girls are Powerful (10-week Support Group):EVE's Counseling Program provides a 10-week program for middle school girls focusing on self-esteem, body image, conflict resolution, dating violence and issues that affect teen girls. EVE also provides a new program for middle school boys, called Boys are Strong, focusing on issues such as peer pressure, masculinity, non-violence, conflict management and problem-solving.
Healthy Relationship Workshops for Parents:EVE provides free information, resources and workshops for parents who are interested in learning more about teen dating violence, how to identify warning signs and the added dangers of electronic aggression and abuse. Training for Health Care Professionals:EVE partners with the Capital Area Domestic & Sexual Violence Coordinating Council Healthcare Professionals Subcommittee to provide domestic and sexual violence training, awareness and education.
Domestic Violence Presentations & Workshops:EVE provides free educational presentations and workshops to community groups and organizations interested in learning more about domestic violence, dynamics of power and control, warning signs of abuse and resources available to help survivors of domestic and dating violence.
