EVE, Inc. Volunteer Opportunities
“Make a career of humanity... and make a greater person of yourself, a
greater nation of your country and a finer world to live in.”
— Martin Luther King, Jr.
EVE,
Inc. offers a variety of valuable volunteer experiences. To ensure that volunteers have a beneficial and fulfilling experience, volunteer position descriptions are listed below to explain the volunteer tasks and duties, required skills, and time commitment involved. Please read the position descriptions and identify the ones that best
fit your interest. Next, fill out a Volunteer/Internship Application(PDF)indicating the areas you are
interested in. You must also fill out a Criminal Background Check form and Questions for Prospective Volunteers. Send all three forms to the contact below. After reviewing your application, we will call you to review
required training and discuss a team assignment that will provide you with the
best experience.
Please note that all volunteers/interns must have a TB test within the year
and must present written proof at the time of the orientation. You can get a
free TB test from the Ingham County Health Department, 5303 S. Cedar in Lansing,
or if you are a MSU student you can go to the Student Services Building (room
30 in the basement) and pick up a form that states you are volunteering/interning
within the community. Once you have obtained this form, go to Olin Health Center
and the test will be administered free of charge.
Next Volunteer Training - May 29- June 1, 2008 Total amount of time involved is approximately 22 hours. Trainings are held at the Lansing Police Station South Precinct 3400 S. Cedar (On the corner of Cedar and Holmes.) Please submit your application as soon as possible for consideration. Click Here for more information about EVE, Inc.'s Volunteer Training Program.
